Welcome to Heard About Travel, the travel blog for families with tips, tricks, insight, and information we've gathered from our journeys as a family of four. After giving in to the peer pressure from our now 8 year old, we've started this site as a way to share what we've learned over dozens of family trips to popular, and sometimes off-the-beaten-path, travel destinations, particularly for families. Why the name? We'll we're the Heards, and it was the best we could come up with!

A couple notes to get started, we're not travel agents (yet), although we're happy to recommend some we've used and like. Also, we're in this for the fun of it more than anything else, and simply want to share what has and hasn't worked for us when it comes to family travel. That includes topics like what we would and wouldn't spend money on again, where we would and wouldn't go again, and the various strategies, plans, mishaps, lucky breaks, and surprises we've encountered.
